That's my fave shot of gytha. Also, contortionists are way cooler than the average clown that blows little foam balls out of their noses. Contortionists do things that are real. They cant pretend to bend over backwards, nor do they need to
I'd say a lot better, not only because of my interest in contortion but also because it merges two different roles in the circus. Of course, this would work well in the circumstance you've provided, in which the clown wears clothing that shows the bend. I've seen a video where contortionists dressed up as stereotypical clowns in baggy costume and did a standard enterology act, but it didn't seem that effective with the costume as it would without it.
With the artwork itself, I find it really good. There's a great use of perspective and shading, and Gytha's costume looks great. My only concern is that the hips look like they're in a middle split, but it could just be the angle.
I remember seeing a documentary about circus and they mentioned that not only young acrobats and contortionists, but also young clowns are trained to be flexible, of course not to the same extent but i wish they were because in your drawing it looks absolutely amazing!!
