Heath is himself at a party. Never be too much of a dick around Venus because she can change your mind manually.

When I saw this Venus McFlytrap as a preorder, I knew I had to have one. This is the Music Festival Venus, in full 80s glory. She has a perfect look for a monster version Cindi Lauper/Madonna/Debbie Gibson. I do question their decision to give her light green vines/jewelry on top of light green skin. It blends in too well.

And then there's Heath Burns! I like the Heath doll, I'm not sure why they decided to give him molded hair instead of either rooted or plastic 'flame' hair like Holt has. The only thing I really don't like about him is that he looks too serious! He's supposed to be a goofball!

The room itself I'm pretty proud of; I wanted something different from the stone wall paper I use for a lot of Monster High and Dethdoll backgrounds. The 'wall' is a big sheet of craft paper. I found these decorations they made for scrapbooking that were just decorative swirly things. I thought they'd look good for a modern wall decoration. The big 'poster' on the back wall is CD art from Hinder's 'All American Nightmare' (very monstery). The poster over the couch is actually an ad insert that came in my Advent Children DVD - it's for the action figures, but I thought it would work for a movie poster.

Speaking of the couch (and chair) I am so proud of those. Originally they were barbie 'foldout' couch and chairs. They were in pepto bismol pink with pastel cushions. I spray painted them black and stitched black cotton fat quarters over the ugly cushions. I have two throw pillows that match, but I haven't decided what fabric to use on them. Not pink.

And I know I said I wouldn't hook up Heath and Holt because they were cousins. They're cousins in the animated shorts, not the book. I have decided to go with the book on that score. Monster High canon can't even agree with itself, I have no problem picking and choosing what to use.
