The One Ring

Okay, I have a new found love of LOTR/The Hobbit lego sets . . . . they're lovely fantasy sets that simply reproduce beautiful scenes.

The thing is, Lego is incredibly understanding about itty bitty pieces disappearing, so they'll often provide you with spare bits of the smallest stuff.

So in this 'Council of Elrond' set, I actually got three 'The One Ring's.  It tickled my funny bone.

In Norse mythology, the dwarf/dark elf homeworld of Svartlheim cranked out magical treasures on a daily basis.  So I thought it would be funny if Loki showed up looking for a summer kingdom on Middle Earth and then was all 'I've already got two of those rings of ultimate power . . . one for each hand!' *diva pose*

'Cause Vikings were all about bling. XD
