Tres Chic

*This* is the Madeline Hatter doll I'm keeping.  My possible sailboat is smaller than I expected, even though it has everything I need. So dolls will be culled without mercy!  And I am totally in love with *this* Madeline Hatter.

This is the 'Hatastic Party' Madeline Hatter.  Her softer makeup, lighter hair and calm - almost serene - expression totally screamed maturity and confidence to me.  Her original outfit was a bit Parisian, so I decided she was French.  She's redressed in a Scarah Screams dress, her original tights, shoes, and necklace, with flagship Cerise Hood's bracelet and some repainted Frankie Stein earrings.  Oh, and the sunglasses are repainted Mirror Beach Madeline Hatter shades.  She also has Mirror Beach Maddy's hands.  

Just as an aside, Mirror Beach Madeline Hatter was of terrible quality!  I don't think I'm going to get any more Ever After High dolls. The flagship dolls were wonderful and this Madeline Hatter incredible . . . but all the recent ones I get are of poor quality at best. I wanted the seventeen inch Maddy but at this rate I'm not sure I want to bother. 

I washed and conditioned her hair and put in a French fishtail braid above her side ponytail . . . . which I forgot to get a picture of.  Oh well, I have some other repaints to take pictures of.  I'll get a snap of it then.

Maybe she's Maddy's cousin from Paris . . . the black sheep of the family, since she's more chic than wondrous.  I want to keep her name Madeline, but I may change her last name.  Madeline de Chapelier, perhaps?
