Way Too Something - 2

Here is my finished revamped Way Too Wonderland Madeline Hatter.

She actually didn't take as much work as I thought, because it was the simple things that made a difference, like her haircut or making sure her accessories all matched.

After the hair cut I painted her ring, earrings, necklace and purse/big clock thing gold, which made it look like jewelry and I didn't feel the need to add a lot of details after that.  Instead of having black gloves, a sky blue and pink hat and teal shoes, I painted her hat and shoes black and just matching those things made a world of difference!

The 'ribbon' on her hat was a real rubbery thing, so I cut it off and saved the cards to go in her hatband.  The band and bow on her hat were cut from the ludicrously large bow on her coat.  I resewed a much smaller bow from the rest of it and put it back in its original spot.  Now it accentuates her outfit instead of dominates it.  

Her shoes ended up being a little busy for my taste, but there was just so much going on textural I had to make some delineation.  I try not to use more than three colors on an accessory, but I had to use five here.  Black for the base, gold trim and side decorations, purple for the 'ruffle', pink for the cupcake icing and dots on the teapot and brown for the cupcake bottom.
