Disney Party: Flynn Rider

After the delightful detail in Kristoff's head mold, I was beside myself to get a Flynn Rider.  Flynn is my second favorite leading Disney man and he only loses first place because he's not blond and Scandinavian.  And Kristoff has a better doll.

First things first: Flynn Rider doesn't have black hair.  He's brunet.  Secondly, his molded hair has zero texture detail.  If you saw him from behind, you'd think he was wearing a helmet.  His clothes are thin and poorly made.  The waist of his belt pouch doesn't come down to his waist.  The shirt, vest, and pants are different fabrics, but it lacks the massive attention to detail evident in Kristoff's costume.

For Kristoff, the only thing I felt was lacking was the doll articulation.  I've already ordered a Hot Toys body for him.  For Flynn . . . . I honestly don't know if he's worth putting on a new body.

(And I'm not even going to touch on the fact that his name is really Eugene Fitzherbert.)

This is so sad!  I had Flynn/Kristoff buddy adventures planned!
